I wanted to add more images from the Bata Shoe Museum because there was so much to see and tell some more about my trip. I had a really great time in Toronto. I got to see Girlschool, a kick ass female metal band from the UK and they were fantastic.

It was a really great weekend. I started with the museum, did some sightseeing on Queen W Street, shopped on Yonge St. for books and a pair of Underground skull creepers, then shopped for drinks and groceries and had a lovely cemetery picnic the next day at the Toronto Necropolis.

Later I met up with Tanya Cheex, the founder of Skin Tight Outta Sight Burlesque, at the Hard Luck Bar to see the band.

She and I have been online friends for 20 years and this was the very first time we got to meet, at last, in person. It was very exciting! I am pictured with her at the top of this post.

She’s an old school punk rocker like myself so we have a lot in common.

I was only in town for a few days so I know I missed so much, like the Bovine Sex Club and Nocturne, but there is always next time.
